MiTime has been Released to Fix / Activate FaceTime on any unofficial supported carriers on the unlocked iPhone 4 as T-Mobile US. It works by sending two SMS messages to activate, therefore it can’t be free as it costs the developer of the app to fix your devices. So you have to purchase MiTime for $5.99 to fix FaceTime on unofficial carriers.
If you has already jailbroken your iPhone 4 using JailbreakMe and unlocked using Ultrasn0w 1.0-1, you will probably face this problem! So, the developer of PushFix has developed this app to help you to fix and activate FaceTime on any carrier. Follow the instructions below to activate FaceTime on unlocked iPhone 4,

Step 1
IF you are outside the US, check your phone # in Settings -> Phone. Your phone number must be correct and should have the + symbol at the front of it. You should NOT continue unless your phone # is exactly the one that you entered on the purchase page of MiTime.info

Step 2
Install MiTime from my repo via Cydia

Step 3
Run MiTime and verify you are authorized – If your phone # matches, you will be.

Step 4
See below and compare to what you have on the screen:
If it says “Ready for activation” and has an “Activate” button, you are ready to use a credit to activate.
If it does NOT say “Ready for activation”, leave it at the this screen until it resets FaceTime® and re-springs (2 minutes). After re-spring, unlock the phone and within one minute it should warn you about costs – IMPORTANT–>click OK. If it doesn’t warn you or does not reset, see the troubleshooting tips below.
If it says “Activated” you can stop here. It will back up your FaceTime® activation for later recovery.

Step 5
If you are ready, tap the Activate button and follow the prompts. Only send one activation request and wait for up to 15 minutes. It should only take 1 minute, but don’t waste your activation credits. If it doesn’t activate after 15 minutes, eject and re-insert your SIM. Wait 1 minute and then reboot.

Step 6
If it says the request was sent, stay on this screen. Within 1 minute usually, you will see it change to Activated.

Step 7
You are done. Once it shows Activated, it has saved your token and FaceTime® is fully enabled.

Step 8
The app can be used to fix almost any FaceTime® problem in the future just by running it.

You can follow these instructions to install Vunlock on your jailbroken iPhone:

Launch Cydia from your jailbroken iPhone’s homescreen.

Tap on the Search tab and search for Vunlock.

Tap on Vunlock and then on the ‘Install’ button to install it on your iPhone.

That’s it. You should now be able to use the volume buttons to unlock iPhone’s screen.

On Wednesday, Apple (finally) released firmware 4.0.2, which patches the very large security holes exploited by @comex in the 2nd incarnation of jailbreakme.com.  The only problem is they outright abandoned iPhone2G and iPod Touch 1G users!  Even though Apple acknowledges in their security update the severity of these holes, they left iPhone2G and ipt1G owners high and dry — completely vulnerable to truly malicious variants of jailbreakme (these variants aren’t out yet, but they’re sure to come!).
Luckily for Apple, the Jailbreak community isn’t so callous. @saurik has been burning the midnight oil coding a Cydia package that will fix the holes for all devices and all firmware versions (even going back to version 2.x!).

At a whopping 579.3 MB for iOS 4.0.2, it does seem like there should be something more substantial in the update — proximity sensor fix anyone? — but if there is, Apple isn’t saying.

Kudos, however, for moving at what is for Apple security, lightning speed.

Some days back Comex, developer of JailbreakMe and Spirit had figured out a way to get Adobe Flash content to run on a jailbroken iPad, using a compatibility layer. He had managed this by porting Android Flash runtime to iPad. Comex is calling the port of the Android Flash runtime for the iPhone as Frash.

Here are some simple steps to install Flash (Frash) on your iPhone.

You must need a jailbroken iPhone if you don’t have one visit jailbreakme.com and jailbreak yours.

1. Launch Cydia.

2. Add new source by Taping on the Manage Tab and then on Sources.

3. Tap Edit and then add, type the following URL: http://repo.benm.at/

4. Tap done and then Tap this repo and Tap on Frash to install it.

5. Reboot your iPhone.

There is new problem floating around to the people that are using Data SIMs or phonebook SIMs to activate their iPhone because they don’t have a legit carrier SIM.

After activation with these SIM, the device is jailbroken with jailbreakme.com and unlocked with Ultrasn0w. When the user switched the SIM and insert their carrier SIM, the iPhone will immediately show the slide for emergency screen and if user removes the carrier SIM, the iPhone will go back to the springboard.

FIX:

Here is quick fix If you are having this issue, get the lockdownd from a working hacktivated iPhone 3G/3GS respectively. The lockdownd file is located in /usr/libexec. Copy the file to the device you are having problem. You can copy file using utility such as ifunbox or something similar. The permission on the lockdownd file is 755. If you are copying the patched lockdownd over the existing one, the permissions should be in-tact.

1. Download ifunbox from Here

2. Open ifunbox and connect your iPhone.

3. Download the lockdown from here.

4. GO to /private/var/root/Library/ and replace the original lockdown folder and put the new downloaded folder.

5. Restart your iPhone and hopefully it is fixed.

Step 1: Launch Cydia from homescreen.

Step 2: Tap on the Manage Tab and then tap on Sources and edit sources.

Step 3: Add the following repo URL to add sources: http://cydia.pushfix.info

Step 4: Now tap on the Search tab and search for Hactivation.

Step 5: Install the Hacktivation Patch.

Initially Galaxy S will run on Android 2.1 and later in the year it will be updated to 2.2.But there is no time scale when this update will be available.

There are some similarities between iPhone 4 and Galaxy S, Both have the same processor of 1GHz, the camera resolution is the same which is 5MP, both phones are slim and relatively light weight. However the two platforms IOS4 and Android-differ significantly in their approach to users, developers and openness. Apple means that only those titles which suit the company’s intent for the iPhone will get through, on the other hand, users have greater confidence that the software they download is unlikely to negatively affect their handset.

The time and the user will decide which phone is better than the other. We will leave this to you to decide.
