Sony Ericsson is launching soon its new mid range android based Xperia X8. Most probably this will be launched in the September. Timo Maassmann, Product marketing manager for Xperia X8, assured us that the smart phone will be quite affordable despite it will include many interesting features that it brings under the price of $245.

Xperia X8 belongs to mid-range Androids phone and it is characterized between its big brother X10 and X10 mini.

This 104 gram device sports a 3 inch 320 x 480 pixel touch screen. The main features includes GPS, Wifi and 3.5G support, FM radio and a micro SD slot and most probably this phone will come with a 2GB card. There is a 3.2 megapixel camera which is also capable of video recording. It got a competitive 600MHz processor with 128MB RAM which will capable of coping with almost everything which you will throw at it, although it is not as fast as the processor found in top line of Android handsets. Long battery life is insured with large battery which will give talk time up to 5 hours and 40 minutes on 3G.

Initially this phone will be launched with Android 1.6 operating system, so early adopters of this phone will have to cope with this. But there is great news as well that soon it will be upgraded to 2.1. If you are after operating system wait a little so that you can get the operating system of your choice.

In the last I will say that if u can’t afford a top line smart phone then Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 sounds appealing. All you have to do is remain patient till the month of September. Hope you will star experiencing the phone very soon.
